“The Medici Printing House between Rome and the East” is the first exhibition dedicated to the Eastern manuscripts of the Medici Laurentian Library, whose history is related to the one of the Medici Printing House.
The aim of the exhibition is to let the visitors learn about the history of the Publishing House through the exhibition of manuscripts, printed books, archival documents, showing attention to Near Eastern Cultures. On this occasion, the Typography Room will be opened to the public, and it will be possible to admire the printing press and the boxes containing types and punches.
